Victor Ibañez grew up in the San Francisco Bay Area. He has been involved in photography and video from his teen years. His work evolved out of the Punk music scene of the late seventies. He played bass in a band and photographed others on and off stage. During the eighties Victor travelled, got lost and ended up studying and later settling down in Italy. With the digital revolution of the mid nineties Ibañez returned to Northern California to finish a B.A. in Communications at Sonoma State University. Victor returned to Italy and began working at Cinecittà Studios shooting and editing documentaries on Italian cinema production. At present he works as Fixer for international television productions and as a Video Film Maker of Social Cultural documentaries in Italy and around the world.
